Site Reviews is an original section of the
Fronskie Feint. It is one of my favorite sections because if lets you get a good
outline of a site. The opinions of this
page are only opinions. Who am I to judge you? Remember, it was you who came to
me asking my opinions. In other words, don't get mad if your site doesn't
grade as high as you thought it would! Please do not e-mail asking for a
re-grade, what's done is done.
The way I do it is this:
You submit your site. When I find time, I review it.
You will receive a rating out of 10. Here's how your site will be rated:
| Nice/Clean Layout
- A clean layout is the key to a good website. and
might I quote DarkMark.com, "See it once, and never forget it"
- That couldn't be any truer. Once I see a site, the first thing I look
at is the layout. And another thing, some sites use Web Page designers
that smash everything together. I can tell you right now, when I see a
site that has overlapping images, I'm out. |

| Original Sections
- Original Content plays the biggest role in Harry
Potter sites today. Sure, everyone has Rumors and Mistakes, but you need
to think outside of the box to attract visitors. |

| Easily Accessible
- For some sites you have to click a link, it
opens a new browser, you have to close it, click the back button, and do
a whole bunch of stuff just to find one small thing! A search box will
easily get you the point for this category. |

| Loading Time/Popups
- Loading time and pop up buttons are probably two
of the biggest problems sites face today. For some sites, they have a
sweet layout, but one picture ruins everything... If you have a huge
picture, do what I do, make the picture smaller by using the program you
use to make images, and save that and just link it to the bigger
picture. It saves much loading time. Also, try to keep your pages under
40kb. Nobody likes popups. Even if they are the ones that say they
will increase loading time etc. Well its just a waste and sends visitors
away. |

| Frequent
Updates - Basically all you need to do
is update your site once a day or once every other day to keep visitors
coming back. People come back for updates. If you don't update for a
month, then they see all they need to in one visit, however, if you
update every day, they will want to see whats new. |
